What types of wood do you use ?
All our Logs for the Northern Lakes Collection are Cedar, the drawers,tables tops etc. are built with kiln dried knotty pine to give you the rustic look.
Can I buy Northern Lakes Log Furniture from you ?

Can I order custom log furniture ?
Most of our designs are available in custom sizes and styles, charges may apply. Please contact your local retailer for more information.
How are the cedar logs peeled ?
All our logs on the Northern Lakes Collection are doweled with our own doweler, that is a machine similar to a post peeler but makes a smoother finish.
Why are there cracks in the cedar logs ?
The cracks are called “ checks “ they occur during the natural drying process, when you furniture leaves our plant and goes to your home it will have to adjust to the humidity levels. Checks in the logs do not affect the strength or quality of our log furniture.
Can you finish your log furniture ?
Yes, we offer a standard clear coat system on all indoor log furniture, this will pull out the grain and give your home or cottage the natural outdoor look.
Do I leave my outdoor log furniture natural ?
Most people leave there outdoor log furniture natural, it will turn grey and add a rustic feel to your garden.
Is the Outdoor Log all Cedar or does it have pine ?
Outdoor log chairs and log tables have all cedar, seats and table tops are 2” cedar and the logs are dried cedar as well.
Can I leave my Outdoor Log Furniture outside all winter ?
Of course everyone would recommend storing furniture inside for the winter and we will also, your furniture will last longer if you protect it although it will stand up the the elements outside all year.

How long does it take to order a Northern Lakes product ?
From the time you order at your retailer and that the retailer gets the order will be anything from 3-6 weeks. Ask your local retailer for a current date.
